You Know, for Search

Mailing Lists

ElasticSearch User is where ElasticSearch users come to seek help, announce projects, and discuss all kind of matters surrounding the framework and the community.

You need to register with your google account to the list. At the bottom of left side pane, enter your google account user (email) continue with the login process.

Twitter & Blog

Follow along what people are saying about ElasticSearch on Twitter. Or follow along what happens within ElasticSearch by following the Blog.

IRC

Sometimes its just easier to get help or discuss matters in real time. The #elasticsearch channel on irc.freenode.net allows for just that (webchat.freenode). Note: IRC discussions tend to exclude large parts of the community. Therefore elasticsearch core technical discussions and decisions must take place on the mailing lists, not IRC. They don't count otherwise.

GitHub

ElasticSearch is Open Source under the Apache 2 License. The code is hosted at GitHub and is just a fork away.

Issues and feature requests can be filed at GitHub Issues (if you are not sure, please post a question at the mailing list first). The Wiki is there as well for maintaining Community driven content.

This site itself is hosted at GitHub as well. Enhancing the site / docs is nothing but a fork away.

Thanks

ElasticSearch team thanks JetBrains for providing free license for the excellent IntelliJ IDEA, YourKit for their superb Java Profiler.
